At the time\, the festival was called ‘1st Multicultural Dance and Improvised Music Meeting’\, which quickly became known as ‘Music Meeting’. Until 2003\, Music Meeting was organized in Concertgebouw de Vereeniging and Stadsschouwburg Nijmegen. Since 2004\, Music Meeting has been held in the historic Park Brakkenstein and the label ‘Festival’ has been added. Music Meeting now has a history of 40 years\, with a rich line-up of artists from all corners of the world.
